Meet Beth Nowak. After being approached about sharing her story with a group of high school students, she began a journey of understanding her chaotic upbringing and what had led her to the point of addictions in adulthood. She discovered her story didn't begin with her, but with her parents. Eventually that journey led her to mercy, compassion and forgiveness with a deep need for honesty and vulnerability with those around her. *At one point in the conversation she eludes to her senior trip and a trauma that occurred. Due to the length of the interview it was cut out and held for a potential future release. |
Conversation with Tiffany Brearton
Meet Tiffany. In the seventh grade, she suffered what so many have, sexual abuse. The fall out sent her down a road of confusion, pain and heartache and trying to define what healthy sexuality looked like. An opportunity arose for her to enter into the stripping lifestyle. It was while in that life style she suffering a date rape that robbed her of her virginity. Her self-defined ideals of what "good girls do" had her marrying her rapist. Inevitably the union fall apart, at twenty Tiffany found herself with a child and divorced and set about to rebuild her life. After marrying a second time, Tiffany entered into a relationship with God only to lose her second husband to cancer. Only after marrying a third time did God begin to woo her to a place of restoration and freedom. After going on a retreat at her church did she begin to see God wanted to restore her identity and hope. She discovered the Childhood Sexual Trauma (CTS) group at the same church and began to walk out breaking down wall after wall that had kept her a prison. She now helps lead the same group at a different church site.
